Stafford Sports provided Negotiation Services to Wake Forest University for the potential transfer of ownership and operating rights of the 14,400-seat Lawrence Joel Coliseum to the University. Stafford also developed an RFP for the food and beverage operation at the 31,500-seat BB&T Stadium and other on-campus athletic venues.

United Supermarket Arena
Stafford provided Project Management Services for the re-branding of naming rights at the 60,000-seat Jones AT&T Stadium. Stafford also provided Advisory Services regarding food and beverage revenue generation for the 15,000-seat United Spirit Arena.

Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center
As part of a consulting team, Stafford Sports provided an analysis of potential events and associated attendance and revenues for the 13,500-seat Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale University.

Villanova Wildcats
Stafford served as Strategic Advisor to Villanova University regarding re-development of the Pavilion, the University’s on-campus basketball venue. Stafford previously developed a plan at the venue for the implementation of seat donations, restructuring of ticket prices, enhancements to food and beverage operations and maximization of merchandising and retail opportunities. Stafford also assisted in the development of the Davis Center, the University’s state-of-the-art basketball practice and training center.

University of Houston
Stafford provides Asset Management Services for the University’s athletic facilities including TDECU Stadium and the Fertitta Center. Stafford provides direct oversight and guidance on all budget issues regarding maintenance, capital repairs, food and beverage and custodial services by the University’s third-party service provider. Stafford is currently developing all business terms for multiple RFP’s – concessions, catering/premium, student-athlete nutrition/training table, facility maintenance and custodial services.

UCONN Huskies
Stafford Sports conducted an analysis of the University’s men’s ice hockey program and developed a business plan for the institution’s entry into the nationally renowned Hockey East Conference. Stafford’s plan outlined requirements for upgrades in scholarships, staffing, marketing and other financial resources. The plan evaluated venue options including an upgrade of the university’s on-campus venue and long-term tenancy at the XL Center in Hartford. Stafford also conducted a benchmarking study that analyzed the level of resource commitment from other top – tier Division l hockey programs.
Based on Stafford’s recommendations and guidance, the University upgraded its program to begin play in Hockey East in 2014-15.

Georgetown Hoyas
On behalf of Georgetown University, Stafford negotiated a long-term tenancy deal with 20,000-seat Verizon Center for the school’s 16-game men’s basketball home schedule. Georgetown again retained Stafford to provide its Negotiation Services for a renewal of its lease agreement with the venue.
Stafford also provided University administration with ongoing strategic guidance regarding nationwide conference re-alignment issues. Stafford also reviewed and provided input on scenarios regarding initiatives for seat donation and season ticket programs.

Stafford provided Planning and Operational Design Services for the renovation/expansion of Hagan Arena, including the re-development of an on-campus arena, a practice facility, and multi-sport athletic support facilities. Stafford previously had provided Marketing Advisory Services to develop new sponsorship strategies for the basketball arena.

Seton Hall Pirates
On behalf of Seton Hall University, Stafford negotiated a long-term tenancy deal with the 18,500-seat Prudential Center for its home schedule. Stafford subsequently provided the University with comprehensive Advisory Services for generation of new revenue streams, including implementation of a new seat donation program, ticket sales pricing and strategies, donor acquisition and retention, athletic marketing, sponsorship sales as well as venue operations during its first two years of tenancy at the Prudential Center.

Rider Broncs
Stafford provided Operational Design Services for re-development of its on-campus arena, including a new basketball practice facility, locker rooms, strength and conditioning center and seat renovation. Stafford previously was retained to work closely with the university’s architect and design team to identify operational and staffing efficiencies and revenue generating opportunities.

Stafford Sports completed a Business Plan and Operational Audit, including booking strategy and recommended facility improvements for the University’s 2,500-seat Red Butte Garden Amphitheater.

Stafford completed a Strategic Business Plan for re-development of the 6,700-seat Stabler Arena, which included a recommended facility improvements program and preliminary projected costs. Lehigh University also retained Stafford for additional Advisory Services related to the development of revenue generation opportunities at its athletic facilities, implementation of recommended improvements to the Arena and the marketing of its athletic programs.

Stafford Sports completed a Business Plan for the University for the development of a proposed 6,000-seat Convocation Center and a 1,000-person capacity Banquet Hall.

Stafford Sports served as Strategic Advisor to Fairfield University and developed strategies regarding seating, ticket pricing, seat donation, concessions operations, premium food and beverage services, venue operations and game presentation for the school’s home games at the 6,500-seat Webster Bank Arena.

Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference
Stafford Sports serves as Strategic Advisor to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), which represents nine schools located in some of the country’s largest media markets. Stafford negotiated guaranteed site fees for the Men’s and Women’s Conference Championships in Springfield, MA through 2014.
Stafford also provided Facility Auditing Services for all Conference schools and created individualized reports for each institution that addressed required facility improvements and identified facility revenue generating opportunities.

National Collegiate Hockey Conference
Stafford Sports served as part of the strategic consulting team which was retained to assist in the formation of the new National Collegiate Hockey Conference, which begins play in the 2013-14 season. The consulting team evaluated prospective schools for membership, led the search process for a commissioner and provided comprehensive public relations, marketing and branding services.
